Something a little bit different from me - a portrait of Edward G. Robinson, who was born today, December 12, in 1893. I’ve recently watched Little Caesar and Double Indemnity, two excellent film Noir’s that Edward starred in .
Thanks to garabating from dailysushi for inviting me to contribute to the blog, it was good fun drawing something a bit different!
This week’s theme over on Illustration Friday was ‘moustache’. As if Mr H needed any excuse to draw fellow dandy gentlemen..
I’d quite like to do some more moustache’d gents for next months Movember, so keep your eyes peeled.
Good News! The Art Gallery Clothing / Tonic Music For Mental Health competition I entered a while back recently released it’s winner - me!
See a write up over on AGC’s page about the t-shirt and the event:
An image created for Illustration Friday’s word of the week - ‘Underwater’.
I’ve been working on a few things recently which I unfortunately cannot share yet. However, this is an exception.
I came across a competition open to people in the South West of England to create a book jacket design for Tony White’s novella Missorts Volume II. It sounded like an excellent opportunity, and was determined to create something after reading the story.
An update from the Mr. H office -
This last month has been crazy, so apologies for the lack of updates.
I’ve officially finished my degree! Wahoo!
Some of you may also remember I was offered a placement with http://www.tigerprint.uk.com a while ago. I’ve just got back from my two week placement with the team, and had an excellent time. Unfortunately I can’t share any of my work yet, but hopefully you will be able to see it in the future.
In other news, it’s also time for D&AD’s New Blood Exhibition. My work is being showcased there, along with the rest of my illustration course at Plymouth University. If you’re in the area, please pop in and say hello.
Unfortunately I can’t make it to D&AD this year, but I’m always at the end of the phone or email address.
That is all,
